Essay on Global Warming in 250 words for students in English

 What is Global Warming:

Global warming is the gradual rise in the average temperature of the earth’s atmosphere due to increased amounts of greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide, methane, Water vapor, and Ozone trap the incoming solar radiation. The effects prevent the heat from escaping back into the atmosphere. The process is called a “Greenhouse effect.'' Global warming gives rise to a number of other environmental issues.

Causes of Global Warming :

Global warming is caused by the increased concentration of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, mainly from human activities such as excessive use of automobiles and fossil fuels resulting in increased levels of carbon dioxide. In addition, other activities such as industrial production, mining, cattle rearing, farm fertilizers, and deforestation also contribute to this phenomenon.

Effects of Global Warming :

Global warming is an aspect of climate change and results in an increased number of extreme weather conditions. It will result in melting of polar ice caps, loss of habitat near poles, rise in sea level, changing rainfall patterns, desertification, warmer waters, loss of plankton, melting of glaciers, and spread of tropical diseases and hunger.

Solutions of Global Warming :

In order to reduce global warming, it is important to implement global warming solutions. Some measures such as planting more trees and preventing deforestation, focusing more on alternative, clean and renewable energy sources, encouraging recycling practices, and using public transport must be taken. Government should stop open burning such as burning of dry leaves or burning garbage.

Conclusion :

Global warming is the greatest challenge facing our planet. It is high time that we all should realize the gravity of the problem and make consistent and determined efforts to reduce this problem so as to give sustainable living conditions to future generations.
